Join the Herndon Middle School (HMS) PTA’s Direct Donation Team and help make your child’s school even more successful. This is your chance to help the HMS PTA raise funds that directly benefit every child. The following is a list of ways the PTA will be spending the funds:
- SmartBoards for Every Classroom – Interactive whiteboards that teachers AND students use to support their education
- Turning Point Technologies’ Learning Response Systems – Actively engages students and offers ability for teachers to access student achievement
- Learning Enrichment – Field Trips; Assemblies; Reflections; Book Fair; Career Fair; Staff Development
- Team T-Shirts – Worn on specific days to show team spirit
- Picnic Tables – Outdoor eating area adjacent to cafeteria
- Socials – Skate Night; 8th Grade Recognition; Restaurant Nights and More
- TV for Announcements – Installed in cafeteria
- Hospitality – Special breakfasts and luncheons for staff and teachers; Events for Honor Roll students
- Student Directory – Part of publishing costs for Directory that provides access to entire HMS community
